For companies that do business together

Business relationships, agreed together.

Connect with a counterparty, agree on terms together, track the engagements that follow, and keep a shared, attributable history of the relationship — instead of scattered emails and forgotten agreements.

Built on four foundations

Bilateral agreementTerms are proposed, countered, and accepted by both sides — never set by one party alone.
Immutable historyEvery event and every version of an agreement is permanently recorded, never silently edited.
Controlled sharingOnly what you explicitly share crosses the boundary between two companies.
Organization-level permissionsRoles decide who in your company can propose, accept, or simply view.
The problem

Relationship history lives everywhere except where you can find it

What was actually agreed with a supplier, a contractor, or a partner ends up fragmented across email threads, chat messages, spreadsheets, and one employee’s memory. When that person leaves, or the thread gets buried, the history goes with it.

  • Scattered across email and messages
  • Locked in personal files and spreadsheets
  • Dependent on one employee remembering

Relac gives that relationship a single, shared, attributable record that survives employee turnover and outlasts any inbox.

How Relac works

A relationship, built in four steps

What stays inside your workspace, and what becomes visible to your counterparty, is clear at every step.

1

Create the relationship

Start tracking a company you do business with, inside your own private workspace.

Stays private
2

Connect the counterparty

Invite the other company to connect — they accept from their own workspace, on their own terms.

Stays private
3

Propose and agree on terms

Either side proposes terms; the other accepts, rejects, or counters, until both agree on the same version.

Becomes shared
4

Maintain the shared history

Engagements, events, and explicitly shared evidence build a permanent, attributable record for both sides.

Becomes shared
The core mechanism

Bilateral Agreements

An agreement in Relac is never one company’s document sent to another. It is a negotiation both sides participate in, with a permanent record of every step.

Propose

Either company proposes a set of terms — the opening version of the agreement.

Counter

The other side can propose a counter to terms that are still open, replacing the pending version.

Accept

Only the counterparty can accept a proposal — never the company that proposed it.

Reject or withdraw

The counterparty can reject a proposal; the proposer can withdraw its own, before it is accepted.

Amend

Once terms are accepted, either side can propose an amendment — the accepted version stays intact until a new one is agreed.

Immutable version history

Every version ever proposed remains visible, in order, alongside who proposed it and when.

Every agreement is always in one clear state

OpenNothing has been proposed yet, or a previous round was rejected or withdrawn.
NegotiatingA version is currently proposed and awaiting the other side’s response.
AcceptedBoth sides have agreed on the same version — the canonical terms of the agreement.

There is exactly one accepted version at a time, and both companies see it identically. Relac is not an e-signature service — it records mutual agreement on terms, not a signed document.

The record

A Shared Timeline, not a shared inbox

Once two companies are connected, the events and agreement activity either side explicitly shares appear together on one append-only timeline — attributed, timestamped, and visible to both.

  • Every entry shows who recorded it and which company shared it
  • Nothing is ever edited or removed once shared
  • Agreement proposals, counters, and acceptances appear alongside shared events, in the order they happened
Private by default

Your workspace stays yours

Connecting with a counterparty never opens your internal records to them. Each company keeps a private workspace, and only what is explicitly shared — or the bilateral agreement itself, which by definition belongs to both — crosses the boundary.

Stays in your workspace
  • Your internal Companies and Relationships
  • Engagements and events you have not shared
  • Your team, roles, and permissions
Becomes visible to your counterparty
  • Bilateral Agreements and their full version history
  • Events and documents you explicitly share
  • The Shared Timeline you both see
Your team

Controlled access, by role

Every workspace has roles that decide who can propose and accept agreements, who can invite teammates, and who can only view. Access is set by your organization, not left open by default.

  • Owners and administrators manage the workspace
  • Managers and specialists handle day-to-day relationships
  • Read-only access for anyone who just needs visibility
A reliable record

A history you can rely on, built from evidence

As engagements complete over time, Relac reflects your own organization’s recorded history with a counterparty — completion, timeliness, and how disputes were resolved — computed from the events your team actually recorded, never a subjective rating from a third party.
