What is Relac?
Relac is a shared business relationship platform. Two companies connect, agree on terms through a Bilateral Agreement, track ongoing engagements, and build a permanent, attributable history of the relationship.
Does the other company need a Relac account?
Yes. Connecting, proposing terms, and building a Shared Timeline all require the counterparty to have its own Relac workspace — Relac is not a one-sided tool for tracking someone who isn’t on the platform.
What stays private?
Your Companies, Relationships, and Engagements, and any event, document, or note you have not explicitly shared, stay inside your own workspace. Meeting records are always private and can never be shared.
What becomes shared?
A Bilateral Agreement and its full version history are visible to both companies by definition. Individual events and documents become visible only when you explicitly choose to share them.
Can one company change an accepted agreement?
No. Once a version is accepted, it stays exactly as it is, permanently. Changing the terms means proposing a new amendment, which the other side must separately accept.
Can an agreement be amended?
Yes. Either company can propose an amendment to an already-accepted agreement. The previously accepted version remains visible in the history; the amendment only takes effect once the other side accepts it.
Can history be deleted?
No. Events, documents, and agreement versions are permanent once recorded. If something needs to be corrected, it is recorded as an explicit correction attached to the original record — the original is never rewritten or removed.
What happens when a connection is revoked?
The Shared Timeline built up to that point remains visible to both sides as a permanent record. No further evidence can be shared once the connection is revoked.
Is Relac an e-signature service?
No. Relac records that both companies agreed on the same version of a set of terms — it does not produce a signed legal document or replace legal counsel.
How does the free trial work?
Every new workspace gets a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. You can invite your team and use the full product during the trial.
Can I invite my team?
Yes. You can invite teammates to your workspace and assign each of them a role that controls what they can see and do.
Who can accept agreements?
Only the counterparty — the company that did not propose the version — can accept or reject it. A company can never accept its own proposal.
